It’s difficult to see, but there is a small check-ball (arrow) in this channel that directs manifold vacuum to the power valve cavity in the metering block. It's the area at the top left of the fuel bowl, just to the rear of where the transfer tube fits into the bowl, it looks like it has a steel plug wedged in to permanently seal a casting hole.
