Some people feel that you gain reliability out of the stick -- which is true in a sense because you're mechanically engaging the t-case instead of pushing a button and relying on wiring and a shift motor to do it. Thus, there's less to go wrong. WebI personally like stick shifters vs. pushbutton. A pushbutton 4wd usually uses some type of electric engaging system - which is just one more thing that could break. Whereas a stick shifter is generally a direct connection to the transfer case. Besides, a stick shifter seems more "manly" if you need a little ego boost.
