The right hemidiaphragm is flattened with some hyperexpansion of the lung WebOn lateral views, the anterior part of the left hemidiaphragm is obscured by cardiac shadow, but the right hemidiaphragm is entirely seen. Eventration may be diagnosed by simple radiography revealing abnormally highly displaced hemidiaphragm. However, diaphragmatic elevation can also be caused by other conditions, including normal exhalation.
